There are a lot of wonderful pictures taken inside and outside of this house, but none could be found of just the house.  The house behind Gary is not our house, it is the Houston  family house across the street from our house.  The style was the same as ours. Susan is 6, David 4, and Gary 1  Gary was born while we lived at 39 Monroe Drive.  He will not admit that he is a "Yankee".  In his mind he is a Texan.  Of course we left Poughkeepsie before he could remember the place.  "Poughkeepsie" is an Indian word meaning "Harbor of Safekeeping".  The subdivision was named "Paramount Estates" because years earlier Paramount Studios used the creek and falls across the street from our house to film jungle films.  Sometimes Wappingers Creek was very high and sometimes it was very low.  There was a bleachery downstream that drained water in their production process.  This split level, four bedroom, two bath house cost $ 24,000.00 and was sold to IBM when we left for Dallas.
